For those of you that have a trans skid plate, how much space is there between the pan and the plate?

What year Libby? My MOPAR (2004) tranny skid had 2 tabs in the front that needed to be removed, then it fit like a glove.

2002. I just need t know if there is any space between the bottom of the pan and skid plate. the reason is i didn't think when i put in my drain plug and instead of putting it on the side of the pan i drilled the hole on the bottom so i dont know if i have enough space to install a skid plate..... :?:

On my 02 there is about 1/4" near the back of the pan and maybe 1/2" towards the front of the pan. I wouldn't bet on it fitting with a drain plug sticking out.

Then again, my skid plate has bent and bent back a few times over the years

A new Mopar skid starts at ~1, 1 1/2 inches - (ridges)
after Steel Bender - it was about 1/2"
after Hells Revenge - it was an interference fit

and with the new tranny pan - I now have a SuperSkid
Will get it installed in the next week - I expect it to be closer - but more consistent.
