120k and 6 years. I knew it was about time for hoses (gettin kinda squishy feeling) and a coolant change and the stealership has been recommending it for awhile now when I go in for my free oil changes. Went in this week and they said I definitely needed them. Plus I overheated it once when a pulley broke and took off the belt and I know that couldn't have been good for the integrity of the coolant.
Here's where it gets good:
They quoted me $95 EACH hose with labor to change them out PLUS $135 to flush/fill PLUS antifreeze Plus something else they mumbled about before I cut em off.
Total of like $350 before taxes, plus I'm sure they would have hit me for clamps and a disposal fee.
So, I bought the hoses at like $14 each, took em to Strauss and they did the rest. Total of $138 labor and $30 in parts from Strauss for a total of $200 plus tax including the hoses from Jeep and new clamps at Strauss (2 were pretty sprung so it was worth the extra $6!)
Only glitch was Strauss wanted to put non-HOAT fluid in

but I corrected them and it wasn't an issue.
WoW! Almost 1/2 of what Jeep wanted! And they did it while I waited instead of having to leave it overnight.
I know I could have probably done the hoses myself but I still woulda had to deal with the flush and fill.
Now the KJ runs just a hair bit cooler on the gauge then it did before. (Just a bit infront to touching the middle line where before it was centered or just a hair bit after it).
And, at least I don't feel ripped off!
