Post subject:  IGGEE seat covers group buy FEELER
Ok guys, here's the deal. I am looking at getting a group together to buy some iggee seat covers.

In another thread on here, (said thread) someone contacted them and they said a minimum of 10 had to be ordered. The price was quoted as $132. I'm in contact with them now trying to get all the previous questions answered as to whether or not we can mix and match model years and colors or other jeep models, etc...

I basically need to know who's interested and what types of libs (and maybe other jeep models) we're looking at to get a final quote on the group buy price.

So if you'd please, post up if you'd be interested and list your basic info, (year; limited, sport, renegade; and also what kind of seats just to be sure)

We'll see where this goes!

Anybody that has these...can you elaborate on how they are when it's super cold outside? is it like leather/vinyl, or do they accept hiney-heat as rapidly as a cloth seat

If this is the same IGGEE from ebay, then I have them in my Ranger. 2 Years old with no problems, clean easy, they feel good, and not sure about cold as I always freeze my hands on the steering wheel and never notice if it's cold down there. In summer they are not as bad as the Wet Okole's I had, but nothing breathes like cloth.

Yes they are the same as the Iggee on eBay. As far as cold, we don't get that cold here in the Dallas area, but we have been in the 20's a few times. These don't get hard and "crunchy" when it is cold, they seem the same to me all of the time. And like FX2.3 said, they are not bad in the hot summer months either.

Ok, so I just got an email from Ericka at IGGEE and she has cleared some things up.

The price will be about the same, ($132) but it is going to depend on what other models get thrown into the mix. (I know someone wanted some for their JK.)

Our list of 10 can consist of different KJ years/seats,KK's other models, and whatever colors. One order will count as one order. If you order just front = 1 order, just back = 1 order, front and back = 1 order.

I'll start another thread shortly as the official sign up thread. I don't know what the deadline should be, if you have suggestions, questions just post up and ask!

Interested, but wondering

Since the price isn't much different, what kind of perks are we seeing by getting in on this group buy, rather than buying later? free shipping? What kind of price are we looking at with the rear headrest covers, both rows of seat covers, all said and done?

The ones in the group buy are the full upgrade seat covers. They are the syn-leather on the front and back with a map pocket in the rear of the front seats. If your seats have headrests, covers for the headrest are included with that row at no cost. IIRC, this is the price for the base seat covers on the site with just the thin stretchy stuff on the back of the seats.

I just got an email, and standard shipping is 15 for front, 25 for both. I haven't tried to haggle with them at all as of yet.

I gotta say that their inability to hire someone who speaks English to write the captions for the installation video gives me pause as to the quality of this product. It reads like the instructions of so much off-shore trash. So does the website.

How will the rear seat attach to the Liberty considering the carpeted section on the rear of that rear seat?

With the fact that even water stains the factory seat material, I can see a need for this. But $300 front/rear when you consider shipping may be a bit high when you watch the instruction videos. Cutting out your own headrest holes with scissors has to leave a weak spot as they are not gusseted after you cut them. Am I over thinking this?

I have to agree that their English was not so great even when i called to talk them. But they are very good quality seat covers. The rear seat covers actually cover the back of the rear seats too. So no longer carpeted on the back of the rear seat. It is the sim-leather. As far as the head rest cutouts - I didn't do that. I actually had already taken off my rear headrests and like that look better for me. But these covers are very snug fit and thick material. The x shaped cuts seemed to make sense to me. I don't foresee any problems with them ripping out.
