The front brakes on the Libby feel like they are dragging. When the front is lifted off of the ground, the front wheels (both) do not spin very freely. It feels like the pads are dragging. It is diffficult to move them by hand. I pulled the wheels off, checked the pads, and they have lots of life left. The brakes feel like normal when stopping, and no squeeling noted. Any suggestions ? |

Think for a moment, what you are most likely feeling when you turn the front wheel by hand is, the resistance of the wheel turning the axle, which is turning the ring and pinion gears, that are turning the front drive shaft, even when the transfer case is not engaged. Quite different from a 2 wd vehicle front end where the front wheel spins very freely. |

You may have to lube the pistons in the caliper. |

Gee guys, have another cup of coffee and wakeup He's stating that when the front is jacked up, the front wheels don't spin easily. He also states, the pads are fine and there are no problems when braking..... If a front caliper was sticking, the steering wheel would pull in the direction of the sticking caliper when you would apply the brakes. He's merely feeling the resistance of the front drive line componets when he is turning the wheel by hand. By the way, I'm on my 5th. cup of coffee! |

Thanks for the advise. The whole friction with the front drive shaft and 4x4 system makes sense to me |
