It looks like the 05 and 06 kj windows go bad more often! Is that the case? |

I lost the right rear window regulator at around 12,000 miles and the left rear on Friday at 17,000 miles. The driver's side front regulator went out on my mother's KJ at around 8,000 miles. |

'05. Almost 60,000 miles. Two rug rats routinely "play" with the windows, especially the rears, and no issues yet. Maybe you need preschoolers to put the windows up & down and try to put the other's up when they want it down, etc... to keep them alive? |

Mine is an '07 with 18,000 miles. By 12,000 miles I had gone through 3 regulators. Our '01 Dakota wasn't much better for windows. |

from the informal survey done before it seemed like it was 2006 and up , I am sure maybe others have failed but not as many as the later years, need to really do build dates to pin point more when most of the problems began or when maybe they changed suppliers or the way they were made my 04 117000 and no problems so far ssshhhh |

It was so comforting to have the dealer mechanic say that this likely won't be the last one I have to put in. It was nice to know that it is still under warranty |

If I had this problem I’d probably hit a local junk yard for earlier model regulators. What do those things run for? Cause it’s going to suck once you’re out of warranty. |

I have an '04 and my back one just went out (32,000 miles). Got it replaced for $50 bucks though! I can't complain. I have hit enough "bumps" - it was bound to happen... |

From the dealership without a warranty - $350. But you can get them online for around $100 and just do it yourself if you know what you're doing. I don't haha |
