I have a chance to get a full set of skid plates that was bought for a 07 Kj for 210 dollars. Was wondering if this was a good deal or not and if they would fit a 04? |

I just bought the transfer case, tranny, and gas tank skid from jparts for $260 shipped. So I would say you got a pretty darn good deal for a full set of skids. As for as making it fit, check out this thread. It has some pics. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=39488 |

so the KJ dosent come with Skid plates? mine did. unless they are really sh***y ones that the previous owner put own. but they look just like those in jparts.com they are really rusted specially the one for the front diff skid. it even has the one for the gas tank. i though those with factory skid plates and u needed to change them cause they were sh***y. so technically if the previous owner did that i just saved some $$$ on it.  correct me if i'm wrong please!

Most only come with the front skid like mine. I'd imagine that some come from the factory with all of the skids, hence "factory skid plates". Either yours was ordered from the factory with skids or the previous owner installed them. Either way your ahead of most factory KJ's.

i know its pretty sweet. now i want to repaint them. so i can scratch skids from my list?  now to recovery points.
