Ok well I will be putting the 245/75/16 Treadwright OTR's on this week. I was thinking about trimming my front bumper right below the turn signal and removing the foglamp to make these wheels work and to change the look of the bumper as well.

Basicly I want it to look like this (Inspired by OHV_KJ):

I searched around but only saw a tutorial for the 2005-2008 bumper. Does anyone know if there are any defect in doing this to the bumper? Will it make a huge difference in my turning radius with such big tires? I know I will have to do the pinch weld mod but thats a whole new story. Any can help me on this?

No tutorial here that I know of but there might be on jeepkj.com. I did the trimming while I had my bumper cover off to install the front hitch but I have heard of other that cut while it was still on. I used a rotozip to cut...other have used utility knife or jig saw.

Does it really help with turning and clearance and all that good stuff?

My tires are not large enough to cause issues, I did it because I like the look better. From those who had larger tires put on, and had rubbing on the fog light door, of course removing that area fixed the issue.

I have noticed that since I removed the "extra" plastic that and water I hit now flies up in the air and as a result hit the windshield when previously it would not. I guess the "extra" plastic help to force it down and/or out to the side.

I like my fogs too much to do cut them off. I will like them even more when I do the 9005 swap and get the SSU bulbs in there :)

I did not have fog lights to begin with so I was not loosing anything. I fitted some sheet metal and "extra" plastic to serve as a shield for the washer bttle after I trimmed it....nothing fancy just covering the ugly. I have the auxillary radiator bottle in the garage waiting for me to use it to replace the OEM washer bottle.
