My roof rack which is a silvery chrome looking rack is losing some of the silver paint.

I thought painting them all black might be a cool option, since I'm not planning on adding any aftermarket racks.

Has anyone done this on my style of rack? Maybe this would be the spot to use bed liner?

Any help would be appreciated.
