I have a 2004 Liberty. Can anyone tell me if a ‘05 or newer transfer case skid plate will fit my jeep? If there is any drilling, or other fabrication involved please try to be as specific as possible. Thanks! |

I think it does require some drilling to make it fit. |

drilling of the frame or the skid plate? Has anyone done this and made it work. And if so does it fit well or just OK? |

Most of the folks who have done it have drilled the frame then used carriage bolts (3 1/2 or 4" I believe) thru the frame. Been a while since I've been under mine but I think there are only two holes that will line up properly, one on the front and one on the rear. I went ahead and drilled a hole in my skid so I could use the other rear mount but in retrospect I think going thru the frame would be a better solution. |

I just drilled through the frame and bolted them on, not a problem and still hanging on there! |
