I've got those plastic/Rubber type mud flaps on the rear. They are very firm and scrape a lot. Does anyone run anything different ? ie something more flexible. I don't want to remove them completely. Any thoughts? |

have you thought of making your own? i wouldnt put on the plastic kind theyll just get ripped off, the metal ones will just get bent if you had some good thick rubber stock you could cut yourself some and put them in with sheetmetal screws and washers just an idea though |

Yeah, I'll probably think about some generic aftermarket rubber one's. May have to consider removing them altogether, although not too sure about the legalities. I know that motorcycles used to have to have a guard to at least level with the axle (ie Half the wheel). But not too sure about that in this day and age. Boy am I getting old!!!..... |

I have uses some 1/4 in rubber ones with great results, they are flexible and never get in the way. http://shop.easternmarine.com/index.cfm ... tegoryID=0 If you want I can snap a pic in the morning. -Matt |

I don't believe they would fit once you lift and put bigger tires on. You would want to get rid of them for tire clearance..... or they will get rid of them selves. And really, why use them? They stop your vehicle from getting covered in mud.... and that is the best look ever! |

I would leave them off. Mud flaps don't look good on any KJ. As a matter a fact, I don't like them on TJ's,YJ's JK's I think they make the jeep look silliy |
