I'm looking for information about the install, and pictures would be nice. What's everyone's experience with it? Worth buying?

Thanks!

I've done the search and seen the negatives, but I'm not looking for that so much as where people put them and what good things people have to say about it. I'm getting one from my brother so I may as well install it and use it.

a buddy of mine had one and he said it would drop gears at 70mph randomly. When pulled though it worked fine. He sent it back. They say this about the diesel too i know. not sure if its true or not. He always has "problems" as a diagnostic tool they are great though! i wish i could keep one plugged in all the time on mine. He had it in the little cubby below the radio.

How would the scan guage force a downshift? I thought it only read information from the computer/sensors....

I like my SG2. It has only taken 3 of them to find a working one (fisrt one dead out of the box, second one died after I got rear ended, third is working just fine) Mine works on both my buddy's 05 crd and my dad's 05 ram 2500 diesel, which are two vehicles that they are not suppose to work on.

IMHO, it is well worth the money to have so many digital gauges available to you. If there are nay problems, Just contact them and they will USPS priority a new one two you

FYI - the Scangauge tends to be very good - the CRD problems - I think are CRD only problems
for the CRD - Chrysler didn't set up the software properly - they used a kluge
so I have no idea if there are problems with the gassers.

while it works the scangauge is great - lot's of information - easy to plug in.
but on a CRD - you check it for a few minutes and then unplug it -
otherwise it'll kick you out of overdrive (overloads the data bus & confuses the tranny controller)

Love mine in the vans, works fine when we road trip in Eugene. Helped me increase Greens gas mileage 25% by letting me know when I was driving stupid.
