'03 Renny, 5 speed manual.

Noticed yesterday when I was pulling off the highway that I was getting some "grumbling" noises in the rear end under deceleration, and could feel an unusual "cyclical" vibration in the gearshift that matched vehicle speed. Seems that when decelerating, or especially when braking while still in gear, the rear end is making a lot of grumpy moaning noises, and is creating some vibration that can be felt in the seat of your pants. Took a quick peak underneath, and it looks like the pinion seal is shot, but I'm thinking with the noise, that the bearing may be shot. Is there anything else that would cause this kind if noise and vibration in the drive-line during deceleration or braking?
