just for grins I did a peek under the wifes 02 after finding my leak and found this on her tranny pan. Hoping this is just something a tranny service will take care of. let me know your thoughts.

looks like its commin from the front edge of the pan but hard to say for sure, looks a bit oil damp to the front of the pan ignoring the dry spot too

a service and new pan gasket or rtv reseal should stop some of that bleeding though

good thing is it doesnt look like its a fast leak, or that it's leaked much, doesn't look like more than 1/10th of a quart if that has leaked otherwise there would be more than gritty oil-wetness

nothing on the driveway either. I check that every day! I guess it's time for a dealer service for this one too.

Are you sure it's ATF? Looks like it's coming from farther forward,oil/ATF will get splashed backwards from a leak, will not go forward unless under pressure.Wash it as keep a eye on it for new fluid.

i hope your dealer there is better than the one in new bern, friend had his van tranny serviced at the chry dealer in new bern nc, he got it back and the tranny was leakin bad, when i checked it, the tranny pan bolts were finger tight, litterally, i grabbed them with my fingers and tightened them

now i've got to go back one weekend and pull his tranny pan and re-seal it because the looseness has destroyed the gasket and the bolts wont stay tight
