The one thing that i have noticed about my liberty is that is very noisy. The drive train is always making noise in one way or another. My jeep only has 38k on it. I just wanna check with some other people before i really get into some real off roading and make possible problems worse.

I have 27k on my 06', the only noise that I really hear is the rattle every once in a while from the tailgate. The motor is a little noisy when you spool her up.

My last car was a ford escape and it was primary front wheel. I think that i am just gettin used to the drive line running below me. feeling and hearing every shift especially down shifts. exe when i'm rolling to a stop sign. i can really notice when it down shifts.

Mine is clunky before and after sitting at a stoplight.

My radio is usually masking any other noises there might be...sad to say.

The only noise I hear is my flowmaster 44 that usually blocks out the other noise, esp. when I stomp on the skinny petal!!

only noise I hate is that clutch kicking in on the AC unit even when running the defrost. most of the time I just run the heat through the vent to avoid the noise and save a few MPG's 8) Of course I only hear it when I am sitting at a stop light or idling in the driveway with the radio off but still...it's annoying. :)

Oh yeah, between my swiss cheese factory exhaust, noisy transmission, unevenly worn front MTR's and various front end banging and clunking...it's loud. Deafening at times. I might as well be driving a 1973 J-truck.

Mine is peaceful quiet compared to a TJ/CJ/YJ etc....even with huge knobby tires....definitely quieter than MTRs.

well, considering you went from a car to a Jeep then yes, the noises youre probably hearing are normal. The Jeep has a real drive train and a real 4wd so some clunks are normal.

Just make sure you understand what noises are NOT normal. :)

Mine is clunky as hell compared to my Tahoe I used to have. When I first got it I thought there may have been something wrong with the tranny. After a couple of trips to the dealer and just getting used to it, I've discovered that it's normal. I just tell myself that it's a Jeep and it's supposed to do that.

mine has a very nice rumble to it

however i wish it sounded like some of our pulling tractors.. wish it had that much HP too haha our 1206 has about 1300 hp .. well it did.. cam broke last weekend so right now it's got 0 until we get the new cam ground, due to the way it's built you have to grind between the lobes and what not for the cam to fit.. it's a pain

Between my exhaust, tires and radio I don't often hear much. But then I do have some hearing loss! Don't tell my wife I admitted that!!
