Has anyone tried spraying off road lights with Nite-Shades? I was thinking that from a distance an unfriendly cop might think they had covers on them. Terry |

*Grrr GRRRRRR Grrrrrr GRRRRRRRRRRR Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!* I detest that regulation. Absolutley hate it. Totally understand not using them while on the highway.. Duhh but have to be covered? why, they aren't on.. I guess it could be worse, they could say you couldn't have them at all, and then i'd be really broke because i'd be paying alot of tickets because I don't do well when people who drive weiner cars tell me what to do But whatever, I guess I'm less agitated by it now that I have LOST on my covers Fulltimer, i don't know anything about this spray your refering to, what exactly is it and it's purpose I've heard of people using it on their tail lights and what not? |

Probably wouldn't go to good. I know people that tried it on headlights and it has a redish tint to it when the light shines thru. Knock on wood - I've never seen the cops around my areas after people for this. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Lastly...think you could skate by with these types of covers? Clear

not all states ticket for covers I think VA does, i doubt WVA does, NC never will just give you a ticket for no covers, they will give you the ticket if and only if you were doing something retarded and ticked them off and theyre going to get you for everything they can, or were actually using them on the road, and thats basically word of mouth from half a dozen HP's i know and a few dozen police and deputys i know Cali on the other hand.. almost 100% sure they specifiy that the cover has to be non-transparent and fully covering the lens nazi's so I would check your local/state and find out if they will or not, maybe send a letter to the D.O.T and ask, then stick the letter in your glove box with your registration incase the man (or Wo-Man) ever trys to give you the 3rd degree about it but for driving through other states, cover them with full coverage covers to be safe |

In Florida you don't have to have them covered. I was more concerned about other states. I have covers but I don't want them on. I guess if I'm in another state and a cop gets anal about it I could put them on. Terry |

unless it's not a corrections ticket, in which case you'd get the ticket anyway if the guy wanted to be an arse before i decaled my covers I couldn't stand to have mine on now it's like Hey if i drive down the highway and pass one of the guys/gals.. they won't even have to post in the sightings! I do get odd looks from some people though, but thats ok, cause they're lookin! |
