Without help from the goverment then they are forced to become more innovative in there ideas ... "Without deviation from the normal progress is not possible." forgot the quote The scary thing is that the president forced the CEO of GM to resign ...Now when does the goverment get a say in what happens in a private busseniess .. Just out of curiousity when did the goverment start making judgement calls of things that effect the people without even asking those people what it is that they want ????? Remember :The goverment works for us we dont work for the goverment !!!!!!! |

It's the same exact thing as the lienholder on a car that isn't paid off requiring full coverage insurance Until your debt is paid, you do what they tell you. Just like credit...if you haven't done in the past what you should do, then you don't get it. If you beg the gov't for money, you are at their mercy. |

in my opinion i think it was good that GM's CEO was forced to stand down. He drove them into the ground. This has become reality and the government will not run the auto industry, but a drastic change needs to happen. They need to set fire to their drawing boards and start clean. EDIT: I am tired of giving the auto industry my tax $$ when i cant even afford to buy new vehicle. |

Well guys we should have seen this coming honestly. When Dodge got rid of their Neon model and gas was like $5 to $9 in places in America that's the time Dodge/Chrysler would have made the money. I remember you could get at the time 05 Neon for a little around $10,000, but now I know you can get an 05 Neon for a little under $4,000.. I don't know why in the world that Chrysler thought by using crappy business techniques they were just magically going to get ahead. The MPG on their cars and trucks are just ridiculous!! |

Looks like Obama wants to give us a tax write off for the sales tax on a new American made vehicle purchase. I wonder if the new Wranglers qualify or if you need to buy a gas sipper to get the credit? Here is the article from Fox News today. President Obama said the federal government is preparing to offer several incentives to get Americans to buy more U.S.-made cars. In a White House speech, Obama said the IRS will start notifying consumers who purchased cars after Feb. 16 that they can deduct the cost of any sales and excise taxes. The program would remain in effect till year's end. Obama said he wants to work with Congress to use parts of the economic stimulus package to fund a program that would allow consumers to get a "generous credit" when they replace an older, less fuel-efficient car and buy a new, cleaner car. The president said he wants to make the program retroactive starting Monday. It's meant to boost car sales in the U.S., which have seen their worst decline in 27 years. Obama also said the government will guarantee warranties on any GM or Chrysler vehicles. |

inching? huh? We have been heading that way for years. Now it is just going to get accelerated. Nobody watches what the government is doing any more. Everybody is too concerned about living in their moments and not paying attention to long term details of the world around them. Say goodbye to your Bill Of Rights, they are definitely in jeopardy but nobody will care as long as the government promises to take care of them. Whooo, sorry for the rant... |
