 Post subject: ESP on 06 Renegade

Location: Rochester Hills, MI
i got an 06 Renegade and when i turn off the ESP and when im sliding on the snow it makes like a rubbing on metal noise. is that normal? and i kinda smells like metal warming up a little too. and even if the ESP is off is it still spoce to kick in like mine does?
