Post subject:  Front End Receiver - Towing

We are moving soon and I am thinking about buying a front end receiver for the Liberty. I am aware of the installation procedures already... What I am wondering is whether I can use the front receiver hitch to tow the Jeep behind a Uhaul moving truck? I am imagining installing a front receiver with ball mounted, then using a short bar to go from the Liberty's front ball to the Uhaul's rear ball... Is this possible?

No. A single bar would be disaster as soon as you hit the brakes on the U-Haul. You need at least two connection points on the Jeep to control it while towing it.

lol. I see alot of people using them to push boats into places that are very hard to back into. I can back a boat anywhere you can push it though. But for towing the liberty behind an rv, i wouldnt do it with just a hitch. and i think those big things people use to tow them with look silly when the jeep is driving around.
