Which is less then half of what new OEM seats would cost.

Why not go with covers like the Igee's or get your seats re-upholstered.

I have been wanting to swap for some 04+ power seats ever since we got the lib but it just looks like too much trouble to get them wired. I love the height adjustment, plus the 02's are really uncomfortable for me. Let me know what you end up doing, this is going to be one of my next projects.

You could always try to track down some liberty limited seats. Leather, different look, power and heated. I think they are really comfortable.

the seats in my sport are so uncomfortable, corbeau moabs are on my "things to do" list.... to bad my things to do list is worth more money that my KJ is twice over. :D

Depends on the year. My daughters 03 are great! my 05's are just so-so. Some day I am going to switch them out when she isn't looking!

Sometime in the near future I'll have a seat of '02 Limited seats for sale, there cloth with the MOPAR wet suit covers on them, drivers seat is well broken in,passenger side has rarely ever been used and both manual seat sliders are rusted in place  .

I measured up the oem new wrangler seats that seem pretty comfy the other day and while it wouldn't be a bolt right in thing, the mods to make would be minimal- anyone tried that?

well you could always buy the seat brackets from corbeau ( $200 / set) then a wrangler seat should bolt up

From what I saw..
The outer (door side) Liberty mount will bolt right up to the Wrangler track. The inner (console side) Liberty mounts would need to be cut off the Liberty's track and welded to the Wranglers Track.
The Wrangler does not have the outer shoulder strap anchored to the seat like the Liberty does however there is an un used bolt hole in the Wranglers seat to use for this.
Also interesting today is I noted an 07 Dodge Dakota appeared to have the same exact seat as the 08 Wrangler I measured up and it was using that hole in the seat to anchor the shoulder strap.

The seat brackets from corbeau would simplify a swap as long as they have a conversion bkt for Wrangler to Liberty. I would think a used set from a wreck or a custom upgrade would be less than aftermarket seats.

well, i have covers (pretty cheap from autozone) but getting some nice ones might be good, i was also looking at putting 2 captia chairs in the back instead of the bench seat, i saw it done on here way way back and it looked pretty good, dont know how easy it would be to do though, let alone the cost unless i find a junk yard near here

junkyard seats will still be kind of pricey... and then you have to fab up a seat bracket.
