Any input as to source 2 hood louvers?
I know several have used trans am louvers, is ther anything better/ and or cheaper which is appropriate?
Am thinking of either adding additional trans cooler and/ or hood louvers.
Not opposed to doing both the louvers and cooler if that is the consenses.
The extra cooler is no problem finding and installing. The louvers may be tougher to find and install and do they really help the temp -------I t seems the louver would be a major help in dissapating heat.

Any opinions welcome

thank
Neal

Have never seen Trans Am hood louvers used but I have Pontiac GTPs 5 slots on mine, after being out on a trail or even city driving you can feel the heat coming up out of them. I picked mine up on ebay with all the mounting bolts still intact for under 15 bucks

Tom,
Did you cut the insulation under the hood or just remove it entirely when you did the louvers? Any pics inside and out?

and I just removed the insulation entirely,
no ill effects from it after a year or more

Here are some hood vents, they are cheaper here than they are on their home page.

And tjkj2002 had a write up on installing them.

Enjoy

I did hood louvers and so did Inc, there is a big thread about them in the Pics section, Inc and I both bought from Gen Right, only $50 from them and I am very happy with mine.
