A friend of mine called me last night and said that his rear cargo light will not go out. All the other lights go off once the doors are shut. Finally, he just pulled the bulb to keep it from draining the battery. Any suggestions?

it wouldn't go out even after like 5 mins of the doors being either opened or closed?

I accidentally bumped mine which turned it "on" and it would stay on for a few mins and I thought it was stuck or something but I had just hit it

Nope, he said it stayed on for several hours. :? He tried turning the manual switch on and off, open and closed all the doors and rear hatch, and nothing seemed to work. Like I said, he eventually pulled the bulb. Maybe he should unhook the battery to see if that would reset something, or check a relay. I honestly have no idea.

that's weird

if the front int. lamps aren't doing this as well it probably needs a new cargo lamp switch

This happened to me, Took me two days to figure it out. I had accidentally pushed the light over the passenger seat on when I was taking my ski's out of the jeep. I suspected the BCM, hatch switch, even disconnected the battery over night.

Try pushing the lense to turn it off.

thing that's kinda confusing me with this is that lets say my keys are in my pocket.. if i turn one of the lights ON, it comes on but it only stays on for like 2 minutes and even though it'll stay on if i close all the doors when i lock my jeep it will turn off
