Is it my understanding that the Tranny oil Cooler is built into the radiator?

Is that true for all models? 02-07?

I quote an excerpt from the 2004 FSM:

"TRANS COOLER: DESCRIPTION
An internal high capacity/high efficiency cooler is
used on all vehicles, these coolers are an oil-to-coolant
type, which consists of plates mounted in the
radiator outlet tank.Because the internal oil cooler is
so efficient, no auxiliary oil cooler is offered. The
cooler is not serviceable separately from the radiator.
"

Is this true?

Only true on earlier models (02's w/ 45rfe). Later models got an external cooler Only that you can see mounted near the bottom of the condensor/radiator, looking through the grill. I replaced mine w/ one 3 times the size.
I May route the lines through the newer radiator I have in there now (w/ built in cooler) and Then to the external.

Do you happen to know which one you used to replace the stock cooler and how did you mount it?

Did you have to do anything with the lines, or did they just fit ok.
Dims and pic would be appreciated when you get time.
