Ive got a 50 gallon Opposite Lock fuel tank on my HZJ60 Land Cruiser. I had a NWMP 32 gallon tank on my Cherokee. The only time you've got to much fuel on board is when you're on fire!!! Does anyone make a larger tank for the KJ? Thanks. |

An Australian company does, search around in their regional section of the board. |

Your not going to like the shipping I looked into it,it's a 30 or gallon tank and at the time(2 years ago) was about $550 US and would have been about $500+ for shipping. |

Quote: does it mount factory location? Yes Quote: does it kill your departure angle? From the looks of it,No,looks no bigger then the OEM tank with a MOPAR gas tank skid but juts out on each side a little. Quote: your probably SOL for skids too.
Yes but it is it's own skid since it was made out of 1/4" steel. |

Hey TJKJ, I looked into it and didnt find one. Can you remember what Oz company it was? When I bought my Opposite lock 50 gallon tank for my HZJ60 it was the same price as the unit to ship it! But I wanted it so away it came. A 30 galloner for the KJ would be nice! |

Thanks JL. Looks like they only made them until '04. If you carry a 5 gallon tank on the bumper youre close to 30 gallons and WAY cheaper!!! |

I looked into this a little bit a couple of years ago and found a company that made long range tanks for the KJ but I'm not sure if it's the same company. They would not ship them to the US because they do not meet US DOT regulations. I'm not sure how accurate any of this information is but it is something to take into consideration. |
