So.....WHAT IS THE ACUTUAL DEFINITION OF STUCK ??

My wife seems to think that if the Jeep is "momentarily not moveable," then it is considered STUCK.

For example, if I may have had to place logs under the wheels to help it move forward, it is not stuck.

I say, you are NOT stuck if you can get out on your own power. Meaning no one has to pull you out.

Stuck is just "temporary loss of forward travel",as long as another vehicle does not aid you are not "stuck".

If any action outside of the vehicle has to be taken to further your forward progress, you are indeed stuck.

Sorry:)

I'm of the belief that if you have to use something other than the tires to get/keep you moving (ie: winch, logs, carpet, tow strap, people, etc) then you are stuck. If you manage to get out under your own vehicle power in a reasonable amount of time (as determined by those who witness the indiscretion) then you're not stuck.

When you can't get out by yourself, you're stuck. Anything else is just "temporarily delayed".

Like in the Army, we never retreat. We conduct retrograde operations and manuevers.

The preferred politically correct term concerning vehicles in such a situation is "Enviromentally Displaced". Please be aware of the new term as to not hurt the vehicles feelings. :):)

I think got a 30,000 lb MRAP stuck in a hole that was only a few inchs wider than the tire. A bit of rocking back and forth and out she went. I dont think we got a pic of it. We were to busy laughing at it.
