I have a 03 at home with 265-70-16's and no lift. The tires fit nicely with no rubbing on the pinch weld. My question is if I buy a Daystar or Rustys 2.5" spacer lift, can I add the little .5" spacer that Rustys sells for that extra boost to help with bumper weight? I honestly just want to get that little extra and see how it looks. Anyone do this or who can chime in on it?

yeah it will work but go with the Daystar, and dont mess with Rustys .5" space just do a clevis lift, you can buy the Daystar for $155, and then you need to replace your rear shock and you can get Rancho RSX17004 for $65, you can get both from http://www.boulderbars.com/kjproducts.htm

and for the best ride you would want to replace your front shocks also which are $100 each, but then if you buy these also you could have spent an extra $50 and gone with a complete suspension lift using OME coils which are the best there is.

Yea it helps alot, thanks. So the OME kit rplaces the struts and gives you coils like an XJ? or its a new spring for the strut?
I'll take your advice and go with Daystar too

Wait wait wait

need to back up and restart here, BUMPER ? how heavy ? If you think its going to make the front sag some then you do not want to go with any type of spacer lift. It will work for a short time but thats it. You have a KJ that is 5 or 6 years old, the springs need replaced not just put a spacer lift on.
If you have home made bumpers that weigh 75/100 lbs then you need OME 927 Heavy Duty springs in the front, with that you can go OME shocks or Rancho RSX 17505s
rear you may get away with pucks or something unless you are doing a bumper back there then you need OME 948s and RSX 17004 shocks
