| Post subject: | Hi-Lift style jacks at Sams Club |
Hey everyone, I noticed this weekend that the local Sams Club in Albuquerque has Hi-Lift type farm jacks for $26.00. These look to have cast housings and look pretty rugged, and with this price it'd be hard to pass one up. You might want to see if the Sams Club in your area is carrying these - get with a friend or relative who has a membership if you have to. I'll be picking one up after my next payday. Oh, they are 48" units. |

Do you recall if the thread said the unit was of poor quality (I assume) ? Thanks - Brian |

someone said these are crap quality, although I have a farm torn unit rated 7000lb. I have used it several times without issues lifting the KJ via rock rails. |

The previous posts I read (and they may have been on the old forum) mentioned the questionable quality of some units. Unfortunately there is no way to tell which are good or bad. My only thought is that my KJ is worth about $20K plus and buying a cheap jack is likely to save me less than around $50. Not much of a comparison. Plus at least there are rebuild parts available for the Hi-Lift if something wears or breaks. |
