I know you guys have thought about it... C'mon.

What about a FJ Recovery Team decal? Or some kind of decal to Razz the FJ crowd? I drove in a couple of these shoe boxes, didnt really like the drive too much, guess it didnt matter much cause I couldnt see where I was driving with all the pillars and blind spots. Another idea I had sould be a decal that reads "If You Can Read This, You're Probably NOT In An FJ"

Thoughts?

I dunno, if I had my way back in 2007, I would be rockin' an FJ. I've been a Toyota guy since the late 80's when I started to work for the company. The final choice for me back in 2007 was the KJ or the Subaru wagon, JL Audio would not let me get an FJ as a company vehicle.

I have wheeled with a bone stock FJ (street tires) that made it over obstacles I could not due to the FJ being locked from the factory and mine not. It was also the guys first time off-road to add insult to the injury.

I would not be comfortable rocking any decal like that until I have the rear locked and figure out a way to get something bigger than 32" tires under my KJ. But that's just me. I'm funny that way.

good way to get 30 lbs of mud/sand slung at ya by a FJ with super swampers :P

just figure, you drive the sticker, you're in a KK/KJ wheelin in some pretty awesome style and comfort

what best insult is there?

I love a yota, expecially older FJ's, friend of mine had a old FJ with unimog axles - thing was a hoss, only problem was the suspension was so stiff it would hurt ya

I don't know if it's a great idea to be rollin' around UT with a pic of a guy wearing a thong. Although I do drive around with a pink shovel mounted to the rear of my rig.

You guys are lettin me down here... I tought everyone was gonna adopt my idea and be praisin me for it by now...

Fact is, I too was interested in the FJ before I got my KJ. That ended real quick when I had to drived one up Loveland Pass in the winter and felt like it was jus an oversized casket for four! Also was very interested in the tacoma. But them things are way too overpriced as well. So, I drove my first KJ, I was sold. I looked around at a few other Libertys and ended up buyin the first one I drove.

Still think the sticker would be fun :P

Sticker is good as long as your KJ can back it up haha. I knows mine wouldn't be able to (not enough mods)

You want fun, then get a "Wrangler recovery vehicle" sticker.

Seriously though, I wouldn't get one. The FJ is awesome looking, and stock it's more capable than the KJ, I know it has it's weak spots too. But why try to poke another wheeler in the eye for their choice of rigs. I'd think a Libby owner would know better...

Thats the way I felt when I drove over in a rented stock KK. I think tires have a lot to do with it.

Adding more animosity to the off road sport is a waste of time and effort when we all should be joining together to wheel and fight for trail access issues. I'd wheel w/ any rig any day as long as the owner is cool.

Yeah, sure it is just a goof but BS like that is getting old.

I got problems with two types of wheelers:

Anyone who would judge another based upon what they drive
Anyone who drives a Nissan

old datsun 4x4's WILL NOT GO AWAY..

EVER...

my neighbors had one as long as i can remember, litterally..

i was doin somethin.. painting the porch or somethin like that somethin quiet..
and I heard a clank-clack-plink-rumm-rang sound ya know, like a tool that fell and did a dance on the floor right?

I looked over, and through the woods i could see that his datsun's rear bumper had fallen off just sittin there

guy came out of hte house, stuffed the bumper in the trash can, got 2 6x2's and some 2x4 or 4x4 and started boltin stuff together, wasn't 20 mins later guy had a wooden rear bumper spray painted a dull primer silver to match the rest of the truck
