Hey fellas, just bought VHT for the rear of the car and just wanted to make sure that it isnt illegal. I went on MI. Road laws and it says as long as it still emits red light for 100ft im fine. The light still shines through righttt? Thanks! [will post picks later]

i actually bought some for a different application. i didn't like it for vehicle lights because it had a flat rather than glossy finish. You may want to try it out on something else (i.e. old flashlight) before using it on your lights just to see if it's what you want. This may also help you determine how thick to go w/the application.

clean well, spray a few light coats on then after well dryed wax it, it is not flat if you do it right and wax what ever you paint a few times :wink:

Test it on something first. Nobody had it around here so I ordered it over the net. The can was defective and was spitting out the paint. What a mess I had. Now I have to sand it all off and say the "H" with it.

Hey boys thanks for the tips, painted the back tail lights and turn signals today and it turned out great. no pics of the finished finished product yet but will post tommorow. The can did spit a little at first but wasnt to bad after a few seconds. I cleaned them thouroughly before and then taped around the lights w/ masking tape cuz i couldnt find the painters tape. Here should be a few pics of the before and after and ill post in the Pics section when i take some good ones w/ my real cam tommorow.

SPRAYEDD~4 COATS (GO LIGHT EACH COAT)!

FINISHED

As i said ill post more either tommorow or sunday because sunday light bar and roofrack are going on

The reason you will get pulled over and ticketed is it eliminated another very important DOT rule: the tail lights must reflect light. When I was in the rice-rocket game back in the day when all the cool kids were putting "Altezza" tail lights on their Honduhs, thats how Johnny Law thinned the herd.

Looks super cool though, brings be back to the 90's when they sold those plastic black covers for the headlights and tail lights.

looks good! but i have to ask.. why didnt you take the lights out to do it. 6 screws and all 3 would've been out

did the tails. and the front turn signals. came out well

i guess i should of taken out the lights but it was no biggy just to tape em off. haha thanks for the license plate comment kyle :lol:

and onlly a state fan because my sister goes there!
