I was at a local mall, they still have there snow plow pile ups. some of them are upto 25' tall. so i found one about 15' high and put two wheels on it and parked. the kj was at a real nice angle. the front was lifted about four feet and the side was like another two feet. one of the tires was just touching the ground. so i saw mall security pull and said oh $h!77 to myself. so i walked over to talk to him, found out he only came over to see how i even got up that high, the next closest thing was a lifted cherokee but not even close to how high i was. wish i had a camera.

PS: this really showed where lockers would come in handy.
PSS: I really need a steel bumper. my front right side including the flare are really loose cus of all the ice/snow i plow through.

No, I'm pretty sure he meant feet, but he didn't go on TOP, just up a few feet to get into the spot (I'd like to see anything try to climb 15 feet of snowbank, that's pretty steep and not much to get traction on)

I do that at work (and at home) anytime parking spaces are hard to find. There's always a spot with some snow in it that you can park in!

Be careful of where you'll be if you slide off or it melts while you're not there - just to make sure you don't come down on somebody's car or something.

You guys must not see much snow out there in the islands. He meant FEET, not inches. In large parking lots they bring in plows and front end loaders and pile the stuff up like small mountains!

A couple winters ago, I was sitting in a Starbucks (got stood up) waiting for a date to show up, and there were mounds of snow plowed up in the park lot of the shopping center. I watched two young guys in 4x4 pickups, trying to go as high as they could up those mounds. Try after try, they failed to get up all the way. They scraped their hitches backing up.

It was amusing at the time since I had to fnd some way to release my sadness of getting stood up.

a section of the local Wallmart parking lot where I live is used for dumping snow in the winter. We are supposed to get a foot of snow over the next two days - sooo if that happens there should be some pretty big snow mounds to play with in there - I'll try em out and take some pics if they're big enough.....

yeah they are great pics - not mine though, they belong to an offroad club in New York http://www.mudnuts.org/modules/news/ - those guys wheel hard and know how to have a good time :) .

I've been in trails with similar snow dept, and its surprising how well the KJ did even without a lift. The nose does end up bahaving like a snow plow though, but if you are careful, you can get through a heck of a lot of snow in a stock KJ!. Can't wait to get her lifted.

Tires are goodyear MTR's. 225/75 R16's. Only beef I have with them is that they are wearing out really fast. I have only put about 30,000KM on them and I'd say they are at about 40% tread remaining.

What could you do with only inches to play with? We don't mess around in the frozen tundra...we have to use 4x4 even in the mall parking lots! Hmmm, it really is a mall crawler!

Did something like this this morning. I parked one back wheel on about a 1 foot pile left in a parking space. Some lady walking past just gave me this "what a nut" look. Priceless.

I got the plow guy at the airport pissed at me....... After the last snow they made a mound which took up a spot or two. I of course had to get two wheels onto it every day when I parked ( what the hey, I figured I'd let someone else have a clean spot). anyway it was almost gone when we got this new snow. Of course when the guy went to plow I was already sittin on top of what was left of the old pile so he had to put the new snow somewhere else!

Yeah its the same around here.....we get easily 20 foot high piles of ice, snow and shopping carts from the mall plows.....they are fun to park on, my stock tires and suspension (for now) get me up there, and get all the funny looks to, but I guess the Trac-Lok helps to....we need some pics up here of "Mall Crawling"
