| Post subject: | spare tire extender |
anyone know where I can get a spare tire extender similar to the one that RRO carries I had ordered one from RRO a week or two ago, called to check on it to see where it was cause it hadn't showed up yet and was told they didn't have anymore and that it would be a few weeks before they'ed have anymore |

Is this what you were looking for? http://www.rocky-road.com/tirespace.html Just why do you need a spare tire extender? Is your spare hitting the bumper/window? I was able to flip my stock spare tire 180 degrees to clear the bumper & trailer hitch. Y'know you could always buy a 1.5" wheel spacer (about $50). Other people I know simply use a few washers. |

I know what he is doing and it will need more than a few washers or flipping it, one spacer may work, |

Jarhead, what size tires you runnin'? I have BFG AT ko LT255/70R/16 including my spare and the RRO extender is overkill. Not sure why the original owner bought it? Man I could park a bicycle between the tire & door. |

Something like that the details don't really matter, simply need a extender maybe i want to mount a hi-lift behind the spare across the gate? |

I considered that option as well. There is certainly enough space. But in the end, I decided I want to weld my RRO extender to the roof rack I plan to buy one of these days. Hi-Lift too. |

I bought it for my YJ but managed to snap the studs off of it |

but i can weld it to the cargo floor, just have to drop the tank and put in 2 pieces of angle iron trusses and a 1/2 inch plate ontop of the floorboard and itll be good enough for a mk19 |

only for use with signal flares of course! ... a 40mm starburst flare would do wonders to get someone off your tail |
