The main difference between DOT 3 and DOT 4 is simply boiling point. 3 is generally rated at 525 F (274 C) while DOT 4 is rated at 580 F (304 C).
If you want one of... if not the best brake fluids on the market, buy Amsoil from fellow LOST member & Amsoil dealer JJsKJ. His web site >
HotRodOil. He'll hook you up.
Speaking of JJsKJ, I recently asked him about flushing the system, so I'll share what he explained to me;
You will need about 2-3 bottles of brake fluid, pump or suction out the master and refill then chase all the old fluid out using the bleeder screws while continuing to top off the master. By the time you get through the 2nd bottle it should be pretty clean fluid coming out and use the 3rd for top off and future bleeding if necessary.
You can thank JJ'sKJ (not me) when you place a order.
