Ok I followed the instructions posted on how to turn off the seat belt ringer. Now Id like to be able to have my doors open and the stereo (thanks Chad) on while the key is in the accessory position and NOT have that bloody ringer going off.

The truck makes for a good car camping stereo system, if I could turn off that ringer.

Any ideas?

duct tape the button down. or glue it down. down side to this, no more overhead lights when you open the door.

I'll be honest, i've never noticed the 'button' on our kj's

if there is a 'button' in the doorjamb, then all you need is a TJ button kill fix that they use when ya take the doors off

with the belt fastened... turn key to on position without starting it... wait for seat belt light to go off... buckle and unbuckle 3 times in 10 seconds ending buckled... turn key off and listen for a ding... sone

to get the ding to turn off with the door open and the key in acc just take your finger and flip the latch in the door as if you were closing the door

Yep it's part of the door latch, just don't forget to "open" the door before slamming it shut  ,those latches are not cheap.

The latch is what holds the door closed when you close it. Very easy to find. :)
