Too bad you can't just replace the oil pan. :(

As long as its just surface rust, you can clean it up really good and spray some high heat paint.

The trick I've always used is when I change my oil, I take a rag and wipe some excess motor oil all over the pan. You do this every 3000 miles and that oil pan will look like new for years.

And I live in the rust belt, salt belt, craphole of upstate New York. If it works here, it'll work anywhere.

Of course that doesn't really help you, now does it? Sorry.

Excess oil all over??? Might you have an oil leak? I don't have that issue.

Yeah I meant oil that forms around the drain hole while it's draining, maybe use an oil soaked rag. I don't know about you but I always end up with an oil soaked rag when I change my oil! Haha. I use that to just give the pan a quick wipe down. It seems to work for me...just tryin' to help.
