Post subject:  Found a Roof Rack

I found a roof rack local that looks like a surco, but does not have the metal pieces that run to strengthen the rack. how hard would it be to make some?

what kind of metal pieces? I dont think it would be very hard to cut some metal and and weld it on if you have the tools.

May be close to your sunroof if you have one and may hang out the back just a little but other then that should work fine. 8)

isn't 50 by 45 the same as 45 by 50?
in other words, can't it just be turned to fit?

Sure... 46" hangs over the rails so I dont think you'll want the 50" that way, the best thing to do is measure you rails to see where it would land. Looks like it would fit fine. :D

This is what it looks like... see what I mean about missing pieces? and I don't know if it is a one off or not? it does need some paint though!
