thanks for the complements

I don't have any pics of the trailer handy from when we picked it up, but it didn't look too bad except that the front of the tub was caved in in the middle and one of the corner handles was slightly deformed and the lunette had one heck of a bend in it. The lunette was easy enough to straighten out with a 200 ton hydraulic press at work. The tub was straightened with a bottle jack and some 4x4's. The handle was completely cut apart, re-formed and welded back together. Then we had it sand blasted and found at least 100 tiny pin holes from where the rust ate thru on the floor. I spent a lot of time welding those holes and even had to weld a couple patches in. We also found out that the trailer had ran into something, thus bending the handle and tub at that spot as well as tweaking the fender.
There was a lot of beating and banging to get all the dents out too (apparently everyone that gets one of these trailers likes to toss rocks in the back of them or just want to load it up to check the capacity). The brakes were in good shape and we repacked the bearings. I painted it to match my Jeep, but the color is a little off, I used Duplicolor paint that was suppose to match. I also used my hvlp sprayer to apply the clearcoat over the red.
We are going camping this weekend and will be making full use of the trailer (and to help convince the wife to let me keep it). Because of this I was rushed this last week to button this thing up. There are still a couple things to be done that are waiting on parts (drain plugs, reflectors) and I still need to stamp the data plate.
To answer some of the q's, it was bought off ebay, Kris and I did all the work except the sandblasting, I think it weighs about 500lbs.
Now just have to figure out when the next off road trip will be!
