so my jeep has 37k and the piece of ---- dealer i bought it from seems to have screwed me one the 100k power train warranty. another story to tell later. anyway thought it was the starter did a little banging nothing. them realized the solenoid was making a loud clunk so i thought it could be that so i took it off its moving freely inside. so i jumped in my vise and it worked . could it still be the starter and what else could it be |

The starter is not covered under any powertrain warranty, the starter falls under electrical(charging and starting). The powertrain warranty only covers internally lubricated parts in the engine,transmission,t-case,and F/R diffs. Check the battery again, just to make sure. Then replace the starter if the battery is 100% good. You got the starter out so your halfway done. |
