Very simple! You'll need to remove the eye bolts on the top first. The factory screws them in tight, so you may need a long skinny screwdriver to twist them off. Notice that those square tubes can be used as crossbars with the tupperware removed! Pull those tubes out and set them aside. They are different lengths however so keep that in mind. I believe the shorter one goes in the front. Ok, now you need an Allen key (you'll need two different sizes) and remove the two bolts in each corner. After those are off you can take off the basket. Now you're left with brackets that clamp onto the luggage bars. To remove these stand next to the Jeep and look up at them and you'll see the Allen bolt. You have to go in under the bar. I suggest using a long bit driver for this or you'll scratch your paint. On the rears, there is a bolt that screws down into a hole in the luggage bars. You need to remove this either before or after you loosen the clamp. It's there, I believe, as an alignment guide. Remember you can use the clamps to bolt the square bars onto without he plastic as crossrails! I had my Thule M.O.A.B. rack mounted this way. It's very secure!

I hate Star Drivers. You always have to go buy one to fit the size. it's never the size you have on hand.
