If there are threaded inserts in the transmission cross-member, install two M10-1.50x35mm bolts, lock washers, and flat washers through the rear of the engine/transmission skid plate. If you had to drill through the cross-member, install two 3/8-16x3” carriage bolts, lock washers, and nuts. Mind you, these are what come with a Skidrow engine/tranny skid that is 3/16" thick steel. |

Did they not come with them? Or did you buy them used. Just ordered a full set of Mopar skids, hope I don't have to go hunting for the hardware like I do my tow hooks |

your local steelership should have the screws and the nut zerts. I don't have the part numbers but they should be able to figure it out. Jason |

On my transmisson skid there was an extra metal flange that looked like it was supposed to be there and mounted to the jeep, but it needed to be ground off for it to mount up properly. Just FYI...sorry I dont have any pics |

Nutserts – the thread below has 11 pages on nutserts, install and sources. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=390635 An interesting source is included - also comparative pictures. "Originally Posted by scotch740 Stumbled upon this some how and I think you can find those nutserts cheaper on McMaster.com, which would be a first. You just need to know the thickness of the frame. If its less than 5.1mm use this number 95105A208 $10.67 for 10 If it is between 5.1 and 8.9 use this number 95105A209 $11.64 for 10 Not sure if these are the same as what you get from the dealership but maybe someone can check it out. They also have them for 1/2" for older TJs" |
