EDITED:

So I replaced the resonator box on my '02 liberty with one from an '04. The old one on my '02 had 2 separate hoses that run from the crankcase breather to the resonator. The new one has one sensor, but no attachments for hoses?

Ideas, thoughts, opinions.....

Found the same issue when i was trying to switch back to stock. you could do some custom work drilling and tapping the breather lines into the new intake.

They definately have to be connected.

A thought....on the '04's+ where to the crankcase breather hoses go to? Maybe I can install a filter.

Thanks for the pics, JJ.

What do you think of just putting a crankcase filter there? Like these:

http://www.knfilters.com/vent.htm

Only problem is that I think it would be sucking in all the hot air from the engine compartment. Maybe its time for some hood louvers!!

JJ, is that crankcase breather ok to be connected to a nonfiltered air source since it is before the filter on that box?

I believe there is a sponge on the inside of the air filter box to filter out the dirt. Don't have that on my '02. Both crankcase breather hoses were connected to the resonator box.

spongebob is in there. Oh and the crank case vapors are sucked Into the intake From there, not the other way around so filtration isn't a big deal..

Used a brass fitting out of the intake hose then went into a tee to both crankcase breather. Worried about the brass fitting, seems too loose. Probably okay for the street, but don't want it to come loose went I'm offroad then all sand, mud, dirt will enter the engine.

ran into the same problem (long story). I ended up using a T to hook both hoses up to the air box in the second picture. On the '04 + KJ's the port by the throttle body is used for the IAT sensor....so I abandoned the original and installed a new one there (the newer IAT has a different connector so I had to use one for an '03).
