UHaul trailer wiring harness. Has anyone put one of these on their KJ. I got it for 10$ so I figured it would be worth the time to put it on. If you could point me in the right direction of where to wire it in I would appreciate it. Thanks!

The Draw-Tite T-one is the easiest to install, Just plug it in, about $32.

If you want to save some money and go with the stake on type I would stick with the Draw-Tite Brand since they use 3M connectors (Scotch Lock) for their connections. One thing that I do not know is if the Jeep requires a separate converter box to convert from separate turn and tail lights. If so a stake on kit will still run about $30 with the converter box. Check your Liberty and see if the turn and tail lights are separate bulbs, if so you need the converter. I believe that the T-one will come with the converter if it is needed.

i'd skip the universals and go for a drawtite t-harness or similar. It's worth the extra money because it is idiot proof and comes with the converters, I tried a universal one and even with soldered connections and heat shrink at the connections it still shorted out. Most good harnesses are in the $30-$40 range.

I agree with most everyone else about throwing the U Haul one away. Pulled trailer 250 miles then drove the KJ to work next day and no left side lights in rear, wiring was melted near the main plug, UHaul replaced that one, wired in new one and it went on two trips with the trailer ....same thing happened, went with the one from etrailer and it is easier, and have pulled 3 different trailers several hundred miles with no problems at all, just toss it!

the flat four harness is about 40 bucks from the dealership, and the round seven that you need for electric brakes is the one that is about $90. to me, they are worth a few more dollars than a universal one since everything plugs in, including the new grommets and the ease for hooking up the brake controller without haveing to run extra wires to the back.

The good thing about the mopar one is its all plug and play, it comes with all the relays, it has the electric brakes, and its heavy duty. I got the one from etrailer that runs a wire all the way to the battery. Has a converter, and works great.

That grommet was a great thing. You pop out the rubber plug and plug in the grommet to seal the KJ from the outside. The wires come with snap-ons where they pop right onto the underneath near the hitch. No issues of dangling wires. I say it is well worth the extra money. I had mine done in no time. I didn't remove the right rear passenger seat belt either to get to the rear panel.
