Okay, so tonight I was pulling some trees out with my KJ and my tow strap got caught under one before the G/F could tell me.
It got kinda rubbed and some of the nylon looks frayed.
Anything that I can do about this?
Does it damage the integrity even if there are no tares at all?

Thanks... just need reassurance I guess!

depending on how bad it is, it might need to be replaced. Can't really repair any rub damage to it. I save my beat up ones for tree saver type duty or lighter pulling or pair it w/ another beat up one and use them for mud duty to save the nicer one I have.

bottom line is don't expect it to be safe on a heavy pull or to work to listed capacity. on our crane rigging w/ straps at work, any visible damage means they are bad and are cut up and tossed in the trash. of course when you are lifting really heavy stuff, you don't take Any chances.

Replace it. Don't take chances out on the trail either.

Just replace it... I just got a 3inch x 30 ft one from 4 wheel parts for 35 bucks.... Save to old one for tree duty. You don't want to depend on that strap when hanging off of a side of a cliff like me
