| Post subject: | Help with starter replacement |
The starter on my 2004 KJ is starting to go. How difficult is it to replace? I found a starter for $95 and would like to tackle the job myself. Any advice or links to "how to" would be appreciated. I've searched but cant find any usable info. |

Can't say, for sure. IF it's anything like my old postal, it's 2 nuts and a bolt, I think, or something like that. (10 years since I last changed one). It shouldn't be too difficult to do. I just went into walmart, got an open-ended wrench set, and had it changed out in about 10 min. in the parking lot. Long story-short, I was 300 miles from home, and didn't have the money to take it to a mechanic. (Ok. I admit it. I might be a redneck). |
