I know there is a few people here who have one installed. How much does it change the sound of your jeep? I have a super44 offroad on her and I love the sound. Its not going to make it sound like a Japanese vehicle, is it?

That thing sounds sweet. Looks deadly man. That high pitch noise is that from something else or the jeep? sounds like something in the background.

every sound you hear in the video is coming from the jeep... the high pitched whooshing air noise is the intake. the grinding noise is the 35's hitting the fender haha.. (just put them on to see if it was possible.. then took them off).. the nose looks different because 05/06 renegades have a raised flat hood and taller grille... plus i cut off the bottom of my bumper.

Mine is the same. At Idel it makes that sucking noise, but mainly when its cold. Once it warms up it drops a lot. As for when driving you really dont hear it unless you over 3k rpm. And if your that high than you just have a heavy foot lol.

I'm going to have to toss mine back on... I had one on my grand prix and it sounded like a vacuum on cold starts. And rooooarded when you got into the throttle.

When I had it on the Lib, I couldn't tell anything...

I've got the Long Tall Texan CAI and I must say that thing sucks! Literally alot of air.. I stuck my hand on it and it would suck my hand up to the grill from about 4 to 5 inches away..

I have always said, " Cold Air Intake" how cold is the air if the intake is under the hood sucking hot engine air, Im sure Im not the only one thinking. Ram air, or a Snorkel yes cold air from the outside. unless you run cold air into your "Cold Air Intake" :)

X's two
I have tried the K&N cold air, stock filter and different variations of those in the last 125,000 miles

best mileage, seat of the pants performance so far is a Amsoil filter with a 3 inch vent running up to the grill. Yes if you put your hand close and rev it, it will suck your hand back , does a great job. Cold airs sound good but thats about it

Ditto those above. Unless it draws air from outside of the engine compartment, it isn't a CAI and is a waste of money especially on a Jeep.

there is no room in the front of my grill area in my 05 3.7 for that... my radiator blocks most of that space.... so How do I do the install b/c I am making something like that!

Hey RIP ... I think the original LTT CAI is meant for 05+. It does look like a tight squeeze though.

I can't imagine you missed it, but just in case.(pics of location)

Not trying to be a killjoy here, but when I worked in a GM garage there was a sensor in the air intake that gauged incoming air temp and then the computer compensated for it.
Is there not one of these sensors in the Jeep?
If so, wouldn't it compensate for the colder air thus rendering a cold air intake pretty much useless?
