So I went by Midas today to have them see what the rattle around my muffler area is...
My muffler has broken pieces in it.
I called Flowmaster and they said that their warranty is only good if you purchased it. I told them that I purchased it through amazon.com and he said to talk to them abour a refund.
I contacted amazon.com and they said that it it past the return window which wsa only 30 days, so, therefore, I am left with a muffler that makes a rattle and ruins the sound.

ouch... that sucks. Does flowmaster even sell them directly to the consumer?

I mean if you really wanted to you could cut it open reweld the baffles, and reweld the case back together. but it hardly seems worth it though, unless the real estate biz is slow like it is down here and want to practice welding. haha

Man didn't you just get this thing? Probably not even 6 months ago??? There's gotta be a warranty on a Flowmaster.

as per their website...
"Satisfaction in any product starts with the manufacturer's stand behind your purchase. Flowmaster recognizes that fact and extends limited warranties to the original purchaser of its Stainless Steel and Aluminized Mufflers, Kits and other non-race products, excluding apparel items. Flowmaster warrants these products against defects in materials and workmanship for the period of ten (10) years from the date of original purchase for stainless steel mufflers. For aluminized mufflers, kits and other non-race products, the warranty extends for a period of three (3) years from the original date of purchase."

So i am going to call tomorrow and say fix it or my mom... the lawyer... will find a way to get me a free replacement one!

I bought mine through Jegs. Flowmaster better honor the 3 year warranty. Hopefully I won't need to test them.
