The red wire is +,and the black one is -.

Sorry couldn't resist

Depends on the size of the inverter, most 500watt and below ones you can just use a cigarette plug but higher watt ones need to be directly attached to the battery.

LMAO  that was a good shot...

Most inverters have a higher power rating when connected directly to the battery. On my Libby I have a 400W inverter located under the passenger side seat with a 14 gauge wire connected to the battery. Of course I have it fused at the battery but I don't recall the size of the fuse, likely 20A. The inverter's ground line can be fastened anywhere on the chassis, it doesn't need to return to the battery.

Under the seat I also included a cigarette lighter splitter. You can never have too many cigarette lighter sockets.

my inverter is only 400 watts, but I bought an amp install kit that was rated for 100 amps so I have extra capacity to run a bigger inverter, lights or whatever else. of course all of them are individually fused as well 8)

But it won't run a laptop or a slow cooker.
Seriously I sometimes run trails with a slow cooker full of chili in the back simmering away...yum :)

Here, you could run your circular saw with the 3200 for about $2700
