The blower switch ( the knob that controls the force of the blowing air ) partial failed. Settings 1, 2, and 3 don't work ( no air movement ) but setting 4 blows full blast like it should. Any ideas what's wrong ? |

i remember people having the 2,4 fail...take a screw driver, look where you can put stuff under the radio thing, once thats out, pull the bottom out then the top, and try to see if something got disconnected

Common problem, replace the resistor behind the glove box, or you can test it for continuity, you should get continuity between any terminals. Just replaced mine a couple of weeks ago, same problem, only had a blower on high. |

open the glove box and bend the 2 plastic stops inward so it opens wider. You will see it, it is held in with 2 hex head screws and has a wiring connector on it with about 4 wires. It should be the only electrical thing behind the glove box. |

Copied from jeepforum easy repair It sounds as if your blower motor resistor has gone out. It is a component that regulates the voltage going to your blower that allows it to run at different speeds. The reason it works only on high is that it doesn't use any resistance from the resistor on the high level. I have included here a procedure for replacement and I will give you the Mopar part number also. I wasn't able to find an aftermarket resistor at a parts store to compare online, so you may have to go to the dealer. part # IRC TF308 929433R Open the glove box door to gain access to the blower motor resistor (1). Pull out the lock on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector (3) to unlock the connector latch. Depress the latch on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector and disconnect the wire harness from the resistor. Remove the two screws (2) that secure the blower motor resistor to the HVAC housing (4) and remove the resistor. Read more: http://www.justanswer.com/questions/18q ... z0QSoJNiTp |
