| Post subject: | KJ Sheet Metal & Bedliner |
Anyone ever done this? I searched bedliner and only 3 very old topics came up? Go figure. I'm thinking either Rhino Lined or DIY Hurculiner. Of I DIY, ( I'm thinking brush on for the medium coat finish - according to them, the following results are; spray is a fine finish, brush is a medium finish, roller is a thicker finish). Oh yeah, I'm considering doing my hood, roof & tailgate. |

I did Herculiner on my roof and beltline down, its great stuff, I was told that O'Reillys has it on sale for $50 for the gallon kit. It lasted very well on my KJ, I scuffed the paint with 60 or 80 grit sand paper, it took me awhile to do all of the prep work but it is well worth it, I will be doing Herculiner again on my CJ. It does fade to a flat black if you dont add the UV but I really like the flat black look, or you can spray paint it any color you want, Herculiner is very helpful too you can email them. |

[/img]Is that textured? I see Durabak comes in either smooth or textured. I want UV. - Thanks for the heads-up! JSC7002 - thanks. I read where both are owned by the same company. |

Yeah I think they are, I think the main differences are that Durabak comes in colors and you can get some of them with the UV |

That's because it is camouflaged. Also check out Digger's KK. His is also completely covered with liner. I forgot which one he used though. |

Lets see, my lower half all the way around is Herculined as is my buddys full size chevy pickup as is his dads ENTIRE 79 Ford. The stuff is great as long as you use the UV Protector that you have to buy from them. I have never seen it in the stores. Its cheap and an absolute must! Oh yea, and you definitely want to roll it with the foam roller. I brushed my first time and it was not very professional. I did the whole thing again the following year with the roller and it came out perfect. |
