The PS fluid reservoir has three marks: MAX HOT, MAX COLD and MIN COLD (from top to bottom).

So the ps fluid has to reach which of them when I check it?

I ask it because I'm not being able to notice any volume change of PS fluid with temperature, even after a long trip along the city.

I have the PS cooling radiator, is that the reason for the PS fluid not expanding?

On the other hand, when my KJ reached 60,000Kms, took it to a spee-dee shop for service. Among other things, they messed up all the fluids, filled them up past the max mark of everything. The brake and the PS fluid were filled to the neck of the reservoir.

I saw that the very next day and corrected all fluid levels. PS fluid was set to "MAX HOT" but was to late, after that, the pressure hose developed a small leak.

Now, at 85,000 kms and 18 months later, the level has dropped to the "MAX COLD" level. But the interseting thing is that it appears that the leak is smaller now!! It's barely a wet hose now, not a drop of PS fluid reaches the floor.

Is it maybe that the level above MAX COLD is too much fluid that it produces too much pressure over the hoses?

As always, thanks a lot in advance.

Nobody over here?

At least could someone share to what level do you keep your ps fluid in the reservoir?

Thanks again

I like to check all my fluid in 2 stages..

1. Cold sitting for 24 hours and checked before 9am...
2. Take a 20 minute drive then test all the fluid again.

PS will expand and it should, if it gets used. if you have a cooler that is so good, maybe it is working to well. in that case, check when Cold only.

Put it close to MAX COLD when its cold and be done with it.

If you have a hose leaking replace it.
