Okay so here is my idea... I'll just show you all!
My questions are... Is it okay to use PVC or should I use some aluminum? How am I going to keep the piece going into the lower half of the snorkel to stay... I want the pipe removable so I was thinking to have a connecter just bigger than the pipe so that I can take it out and cap it off. Sound good? |

Should work, kind of small ( I am running a 3 inch dryer vent hose ) But anytime you can get a little more air back in there its good! |

Do have any pics of how you ran your dryer hose? I have one in the garage I could use. |

Ya, I'm surprised you found that much room. I applaud your ingenuity, but wonder about the limited size too. They certainly did not leave the renegades with many options for cold air through the front grill. Did you check out the little scoop that brings in air from under/around the headlight? I think it is the unused intake for the CRD version if I remember correctly. With some creative dremeling and an extension it could work ... I have no idea how much air it passes however. You might even be able to get L.T.T. to print you up a custom plastic piece! Cheers, |

Too small to make any difference, and Why would you want to lower your air intake? The idea is to leave it where it is or get it up higher! |

Here is the 05-07 behind the grill. I had to run lower down to get thru with a 3" diameter. Up high, there is almost no room. If you run down low, you will still be getting a lot of fresh air even with the bumper mounted fogs. There is still a ton of air flowing around there.

Steel and radiator lines. That is why I left it there. |
