Well I had the jeep in the air today and the springs almost seemed loose enough to remove with compressing or taking down the shocks. Is that normal or is it time for new ones? I would have to lift it if it needs springs!

normal

in fact, for folks going offroad, where one side can be stuffed up and the other dropped down
you need extended bump stops to keep the rear springs from falling out.
